Is sweetest day for the guy or girl?
Sweetest Day is now a primarily a holiday for the men. The idea is for women to give their boyfriends and husbands small gifts to commemorate their love. Commonly "suggested" gifts for Sweetest Day include candy (yes), electronics (huh?) and sex (imagine that!) That being said, did you ever know a woman that could shop for someone else without buying a darn thing for herself? Me either.

Sweetest Day observance originated in Cleveland in 1922 and is actually observed the 3rd Saturday in the month of October, . Herbert Birch Kingston, a philanthropist and candy company employee wanted to bring happiness into the lives of orphans, shut-ins and others who were forgotten.
